PRIVACY POLICY — PLAYPULSE

Last updated: July 2, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how the developer of PlayPulse ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the PlayPulse mobile application ("App"), available on Google Play.

By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. SUMMARY

PlayPulse is designed as a privacy-first companion for Google Play developers. The App connects directly to Google services from your device to read Play Console data. We do not operate our own backend to store your app analytics, installs, ratings, crash metrics, or store performance reports.

The App stores some settings and cached report data locally on your device to improve loading speed and restore your last-used app. The App also uses Google Sign-In / Firebase Authentication to let you connect your Google account, and it may show optional rewarded advertisements through Google AdMob.

2. INFORMATION WE STORE ON YOUR DEVICE

PlayPulse stores the following information locally on your device using on-device storage (AsyncStorage). This data is not stored on our own servers:

  • Cached list of Play Console apps returned for your signed-in account
  • Selected app package name
  • Cached report data for connected apps, including installs, ratings, crash data, ANR data, and store performance snapshots
  • Linked Play reports bucket name used for install report setup
  • Theme preference
  • Basic local session data such as open count / onboarding state

You can remove this local data by signing out of the App, clearing the App's storage in Android settings, or uninstalling the App.

3. GOOGLE SIGN-IN, FIREBASE AUTHENTICATION, AND PLAY CONSOLE ACCESS

To connect your developer account, the App uses Google Sign-In and Firebase Authentication. When you sign in, Google and Firebase may process information such as your account identifier, email address, profile name, and profile photo.

The App requests Google OAuth scopes needed to read your Play Developer data, including:

  • Google Play Developer API access
  • Google Play Developer Reporting API access
  • Google Cloud Storage read access for Play Console export files when install reports are enabled

Your Play Console data is requested directly from Google services on your device. We do not copy that analytics data to our own servers.

4. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES — GOOGLE ADMOB

PlayPulse may show optional rewarded ads through Google AdMob, such as support ads or unlock flows tied to report features.

Google may collect and process information such as:

  • Device identifiers (for example, Advertising ID)
  • IP address
  • Ad interaction data
  • Diagnostic and performance data related to ad delivery

This collection is governed by Google's policies. For more information:

You can limit ad personalization on Android in Settings → Google → Ads.

5. DEVICE PERMISSIONS AND ACCESS

Depending on your Android version and build configuration, the App manifest may include permissions such as:

  • Internet: Required to sign in with Google and request Play Console / Google Cloud data
  • Vibrate: Used for standard system feedback where supported
  • Legacy external storage permissions on older Android versions: Present for framework compatibility; PlayPulse is not designed to collect your personal files for upload to our servers
  • System alert window in some development-oriented builds: Not used as a core consumer feature of PlayPulse

The App is not designed to collect your contacts, microphone input, camera data, or precise location.

6. WHAT WE DO NOT STORE ON OUR SERVERS

We do not operate our own analytics backend for your Play app metrics. We do not intentionally store the following on our servers:

  • Your installs, ratings, crash stats, ANR stats, or store performance reports
  • Your linked Play reports bucket contents
  • Your selected app history beyond local on-device storage

If you contact us directly by email, we may receive the information you choose to share in that message.

7. DATA RETENTION

Local cached data remains on your device until you sign out, clear app storage, or uninstall the App. Google, Firebase, and AdMob may retain data according to their own policies.

8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The App is intended for developers and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
